Plugin Requirements

Please be aware that this is a plugin for Pods CMS. Before you activate, you must:

Displays random messages on Admin pages in the style of the ubiquitous Hello Dolly plugin. Happiness Today is built using the Pods CMS plugin and Pods Plugin Builder as an example of basic Pods ease-of-use.

It is released primarily as a teaching tool for Pods CMS, accompanied by a range of articles about practical aspects of applying Pods to your WordPress projects.

Usage Notice

Although Happiness Today is primarily designed as a teaching tool to demonstrate Pods features, unlike similar plugins it is extremely useful wherever you need to display random (or selected) plain text or HTML messages. See my notes on Happiness Today as a Promotion Tool for details - the only limit is your imagination.

It is supplied with the lyrics for Think Of Happiness Today, shared under a Creative Commons licence by Soft Charisma, and 3 relevant links, all of which can be easily customized. You could use a different song, or install on your client sites with sales messages and support links. The possibilities are endless.

Happiness Today requires Pods CMS plugin, Pods UI, and PHP5.

This is not just a Pods plugin package, it symbolizes the hope and enthusiasm of a Yorkshire Pods enthusiast summed up in two words sung most famously by Soft Charisma: Happiness, Today. When activated you will randomly see a lyric from Think Of Happiness Today in the upper center of your admin screen on every page.
